Year 5 6 Scratch Games

Year 5 6 used Scratch for the second week and used instructions from Mr Haughton, an ICT teacher from Middleton, to create a racing car game.

Reception ICT

Yesterday in Literacy we used our imagination to think about what animal could be hiding in our eggs. When we went to ICT we created animations of the eggs and the animals hatching.

Years 3 4 Bring Images to life

Years 3 & 4 have started a new topic on Bring images to life. Today one class used digital camera’s to take photograph of each other, the other classes used webcams to take photo’s and then used the transparent tool in 2Paint a Picture to create Julian Opie style pictures.

Some of the children then used the pattern tool.

Year 5 6 using Scratch

Years 5 & 6 started using Scratch today, they used the software to program an Etch a Sketch game. Thank you to Mr Haughton for his instructions for the game. Here are a few examples of their work.

Abby’s game – use the arrow keys to draw you picture, see what happens if you click the ‘b’ key and the ‘s’ key. Click the Green flag for a new drawing.

Joseph’s game – use the arrow keys to make your drawing, click on the green flag for a new drawing.
