In ICT this week Year 1 2 heard the story of Smartie the Penguin and they also explored the BBC Dongle site. They answered all the questions about eSafety, I was very proud of them!
I hope they share with their families all the information they have learnt.

In ICT today Year 5 6 will be exploring the Kidsmart website and ThinkuKnow Cyber Cafe, they will be finding out about ways they can make sure all the members of their families stay safe online and creating a leaflet using Purplemash to take home.
We hope that this will give families an opportunity to talk about eSafety and the things we should all do to keep safe, maybe by following the SMART rules. You can download and print the Smart Rules poster from the Kidsmart website to put near your computer.
On Tuesday it is Safer Internet Day, the theme this year is Connecting Generations – Discover the digital world together safely.
At Galley Hill we will be thinking about Internet Safety in all our ICT lessons this week. In particular we will be looking at how we can share eSafety messages with others in our families, to make sure everybody stays safe online.

In ICT Year 3 & 4 explored the Kidsmart and ThinkuKnow eSafety websites to write questions for a quiz they will create in our Internet Safety week, next week.
All ICT classes will be looking at eSafety as part of the Safer Internet Day event.
